A. Your Program

1.    What time does the program start? / What time does the program end? 

All guests will receive an e-mail approximately 14 days prior confirming the start time and meeting location.

  ·Start Time:

·1-Day Workshops at Walt Disney World® Resort in Orlando, FL & Disneyland® Resort in Anaheim, CA: The 1-Day Workshops begin at 7:30 a.m.

·3½-Day Courses atWalt Disney World® Resort: On opening night, most 3½-Day Courses begin around 4:30 - 5 p.m. and dinner is provided. On all other days, Courses start around 7:30-8:00 a.m.

·5-Day Courses at Walt Disney World® Resort: The 5-Day Courses begin at 7:30.a.m. on Monday morning.

    ·End Time

·1-Day Workshops at Walt Disney World® Resort in Orlando, FL & Disneyland® Resort in Anaheim, CA: The 1-Day Workshops end around 4:00 p.m..

·3½-Day Courses at Walt Disney World® Resort: The 3½-Day Courses conclude after the luncheon and graduation ceremony at approximately 1:30 p.m..

·5-Day Courses at Walt Disney World® Resort: The 5-Day Courses conclude at 4 p.m. on Friday.

 

2.    What if I am late arriving and miss a part or a program?  Who can I contact in case I am late for a program?  

· Prior to arrival: Please contact Disney Institute by calling (407) 566-1738 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The representative on the line will make sure the facilitator of the program is aware of your challenge.

·Once in FL or CA: If you arrive late, missing the first day entirely, please ask at the Front Desk for assistance on where your program will meet the following day. You can also contact Disney Institute by calling (407)566-6401 and selecting option 2.

 3.    What if I need to leave early on the final day of the program?

Please see your facilitator prior to the last day of your program.

 4.    What else do I need to bring everyday to the program?

Please make sure to bring a government-issued photo identification (driver’s license, passport, etc.).

 5.    Is photography permitted during the program/tours?

Photography and video taping of the field experiences is generally restricted and there is to be no audio or visual recordings of the program sessions.  However, you may still bring a camera as there are certain areas along the tour where photography is allowed.  Your facilitator(s) will advise you when you may or may not take pictures.

 6.    What meals are included with the cost of the program?

·1-Day Workshops at Walt Disney World® Resort in Orlando, FL & Disneyland® Resort in Anaheim, CA: The 1-Day Workshops include a continental breakfast and lunch.

·3½-Day Courses at Walt Disney World® Resort: On opening night, all 3½-Day Courses include dinner. The other 3 days include breakfast and lunch.

·5-Day Courses at Walt Disney World® Resort: The 5-Day Courses include breakfast and lunch every day.

 

 

B. Your Disney Resort Stay

1.     Where can I store my luggage if I have checked out of my room on the final day of the program?   

 Luggage can be stored with our Bell Service Cast Members. Bell Service is located near the Front Desk of your resort. You can also contact them by pressing the Bell Service button on your in-room phone.  

 2.     Can additional people/family/friends stay in my room?

Additional guests are allowed in your room.  Our resort rooms accommodate up to 4 adults at no extra charge. 

 3.     Where can I find more information about my resort?

4.     I am a single parent bringing my children, is there anywhere my children can go while I am in the meeting? 

There is no individual sign-up programming for children but there are baby-sitting services available through the company Kids Nite Out that can be arranged through your concierge or Guest Services at the hotel.  The best answer is to bring another adult who can enjoy the Parks with the children while you are in meetings.  At Walt Disney World, children ages 16 years and older can participate in many WDW tours (see www.disney.com and search "tours") on their own. 

5.     What’s the best way to get from/to the airport?

· At Walt Disney World® Resort: Disney’s Magical Express Service is the latest innovation in Disney’s legendary commitment to service and convenience. You will receive complimentary transportation from the Orlando International Airport to your Disney Resort hotel and back again.  For more information, or to set up your Disney’s Magical Express Service, please visit www.disneyconventionears.com/DME.

·At Disneyland® Resort: The Disneyland Resort Express makes it easy to travel between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) or Orange County's John Wayne Airport (SNA), and the Anaheim Resort. You can trust that the Disneyland Resort Express will get you to and from your hotel in a timely manner!  For more information on schedules and rates, please visit www.graylineanaheim.com and click on Airport Shuttles, or call (800) 828-6699. 

 

 

C. Theme Park Tickets

1.     How will I receive my tickets?

·At Walt Disney World® Resort:

·1-Day Courses at Walt Disney World® Resort do not include theme park admission.

·3 ½-Day Courses at Walt Disney World® Resort: You will receive your three (3) one-day, one-park tickets valid after 4:00 PM at your Disney Institute check-in. If you need your tickets earlier, please let us know as soon as possible to so we can make alternate arrangements.

·5-Day Courses at Walt Disney World® Resort: Your Theme Park tickets will be on your room key if you are staying at a Disney Resort. If not, your tickets will be provided at your Disney Institute check-in.

·At Disneyland® Resort:

·If you purchased specially-priced Theme Park tickets via the online link provided in your registration confirmation email, please use the convenient print-at-home feature prior to your arrival.  These special prices are not available once you arrive at the Resort.  For questions regarding your tickets, please call (714)781-4400 or email at ticketinquiries@DisneyOnline.com 

2.     Do I need park tickets for the field trips?

No. The field trips are part of your program and therefore tickets are not needed for park entrance during these times.

 

 

D. Planning Ahead

1.     What do we wear?

Our programs include time spent in conference rooms and outside in the FL/CA weather. With this in mind, we recommend you bring appropriate attire (“resort casual” or casual Friday-style) so you can remain comfortable. It is suggested to bring a light sweater, sweatshirt or jacket because the meeting rooms can be quite cool. Please wear comfortable shoes since there will be walking involved in parts of your program.

2.     What will the weather be like during my program?

Although we cannot tell you exactly what weather to expect during your vacation, here are the average high/low temperatures, followed by the average monthly rainfall in inches during the three-month periods indicated:

 3.     How do I make a priority seating at a Disney restaurant for dinner? 

Due to the popularity of our Table-service restaurants, the restaurant and seating of your choice may be limited or may not be available.

·At Walt Disney World® Resort: For Florida programs, you can contact our dining partners by dialing 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463) to make reservations up to 180 days prior to your visit.  The Cast Member can assist in booking a priority seating at one of our many dining locations.

·At Disneyland® Resort: For California programs, you can contact our dining partners by dialing 714-781-DINE (714-781-3463) from an outside line or simply 3463 from any resort phone.  The Cast Member can assist in booking a priority seating at one of our many dining locations.

 4.     Is smoking permitted in either the convention center conference rooms or at the parks?

Although most locations are smoke-free, there are designated areas for smoking within our parks and convention centers.  Please see a Cast Member for designated smoking areas.


E.  Cancellation/Refund Policy

1.     What happens if my program is cancelled?

In the case of a program cancellation, you would be notified and informed of your options including rescheduling to another program.

 2.     What is the refund policy?

If for any reason you are unable to attend your program, you can cancel for a full refund 60 days before the program start date. If you must cancel within 60 days before the program start date, you may transfer to any other available date. You may not cancel or transfer your reservation within 30 days of the program date.
 

 

F. Getting Around

1.     I have difficulty walking for long periods of time.  How much walking is involved in a program or tour? 

Perhaps ½ to 2 miles per day but the walking is not continuous.  We usually walk a little, stop, talk a little - and then walk a little, stop, talk a little, etc.  A comfortable pair of shoes is recommended for the exploring you’ll do during the field experiences. 

 

2.     Are there wheelchairs or ECVs available and what is the cost?

·At Walt Disney World® Resort:

·Wheelchairs: The Front Desk has a limited number of wheelchairs and cannot reserve them for guests ahead of time.  Upon your arrival ask the Front Desk if a wheelchair is available.  There is no cost for the wheelchair, but the Cast Member will ask for your credit card information.

·ECVs: The Front Desk does not have ECVs available, but there are two companies that can be of assistance: Care Medical Equipment (1-800-741-2282) OR Walker Mobility (1-888-726-6837)

·At Disneyland® Resort:

·Wheelchairs: The Bell Services Desk has a limited number of wheelchairs and cannot reserve them for guests ahead of time.  Upon your arrival ask Bell Services if a wheelchair is available.  The Cost for the wheelchair is $10 per day and would be charged to your hotel room or personal credit card.

·ECVs: The Front Desk does not have ECVs available, but there are a few companies that rent electric scooters, electric & manual wheelchairs: Deckert Surgical Company (714-542-5607) Homedical, Inc (1-800-404-0040) OR Universal Mobility (714-731-7777)
